02. She does what again?
Mere began copywriting after making a career pivot during the height of the pandemic in 2020. While working full-time as a community resource manager at a service directory, she attended virtual night classes at Chicago Portfolio School. With under a year of experience, she won a D&AD Graphite Pencil & was a Cannes Future Lions Finalist. She then landed her first gig at Integer Group with an offer coming soon after at Johannes Leonardo. Since then, she’s crafted some impactful campaigns in the last couple years, including the WhoKnewVille holiday work & Zip Code Exam.
Creative journey aside, Mere is highly collaborative, witty & pushes the boundaries of what great work can be. Comedy is her love language but she can flip the switch to be an emotional writer if the tone calls for it. She keeps up with the trends, what’s hot on social & what will continuously break through the white noise to get people’s attention.
